Richard Wingate began his legal career after working for years as a biologist in the Natural Resources Department of (former) Law Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. He focuses his practice in environmental law, with an emphasis in Georgia environmental regulatory issues, including the Hazardous Site Response Act, the Georgia Underground Storage Tank Act, and the Solid Waste Management Act. Mr. Wingate also works heavily in federal environmental law including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund); and the Clean Water Act, for clients ranging from multimillion-dollar corporations to individual landowners. Richard lives in Marietta with his wife and three sons.
