Emma has been with Geo-Instruments since March 2018 working on planning and execution of geotechnical instrumentation projects. Projects have included earth retention systems, rail monitoring, structural monitoring, load testing of foundational elements, ground improvement design validation, dam performance and tunnel alignment monitoring. Emma is active in industry organizations including DFI and is a member of both Women in Deep Foundations and Sustainability technical committees. Geo-Instruments specialize in structural and geotechnical instrumentation and Systems integration, with focus on real time data acquisition and web data posting. Their work includes difficult projects requiring custom solutions that most companies walk away from. Emma holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology and Geological Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island and is based in Southern Rhode Island.
