Fonda Apostolopoulos P.E., has been with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for the past 33 years. He has a background in Civil/Environmental Engineering, and Molecular Biology. During his time with the State, he has been working in the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division as an On-Scene Coordinator and Project Manager at various Superfund Sites in Colorado. Over the past 31 years he has reviewed over 1,000 Voluntary Cleanup and Redevelopment Act applications, and is the Voluntary Cleanup Coordinator. He has extensive knowledge in cleanups of heavy metals, asbestos in soils, Solid Waste sites, volatile organic compounds in groundwater, indoor air issues (volatiles and methane), and radiological sites.
