Mike Pecorelli has been the Environmental Assurance Program-Cleanup Section manager for two years at the State of Utah Department of Environmental Quality. Prior to becoming a section manager, he was a Project Manager for the cleanup of releases from underground storage tanks for 23 years having managed over 200 release sites and most of those sites have been cleaned up and closed. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in Metallurgical Engineering. Before working for the State of Utah, Mike worked at the Bureau of Mines researching and developing remediation processes for petroleum contaminated river sediment and lead contaminated soil from military firing range berms.
