Michael Doucet

 

Michael Doucet is the National Lead for Strategic Growth and Retention within the Environmental division of ALS in Canada. In this role, he works at the intersection of laboratory operations and environmental consulting, helping bridge the gap between field programs, regulatory requirements, and analytical testing.

With over 20 years of experience in the environmental industry, including 15 years in consulting, Michael brings a practical, field-informed perspective to environmental testing programs. His background includes contaminated site assessment and remediation work, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges practitioners face when translating field data into defensible decisions.

Today, he supports projects across Canada by helping consultants, contractors, and asset owners improve how environmental data is generated, managed, and used in risk-based decision-making. He is particularly focused on simplifying how teams engage with laboratories and advancing more efficient, digitally enabled workflows that improve data quality and reduce surprises.

Through workshops and industry sessions, Michael aims to demystify laboratory processes and equips practitioners with practical ways to work more effectively with labs.
