John N. Ward is President of John Ward Inc. -- a marketing and public affairs consultancy focusing on energy issues and trade association management. John is the longtime chairman of the Government Relations Committee of the American Coal Ash Association, where in 2012 he was the first recipient of that organization’s Champion Award. He also serves as executive director of the National Coal Transportation Association. John serves as a member of the National Coal Council as appointed by three different U.S. Secretaries of Energy, including a term as vice-chairman of that federal advisory committee. John is also a former board member and past president of the American Coal Council.
