Remediation Program Manager
Ms. Talbert is the Remediation Program Manager in the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She has been with the Remediation Program since 2019 overseeing remedial action at federal facilities and Superfund sites in Colorado. Prior to joining the Remediation Program, Jennifer was a Colorado Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources and Environment Section. As Senior Assistant Attorney General, Jennifer represented CDPHE to resolve complicated legal issues for Brownfield, voluntary cleanups, Superfund and federal facilities sites as well taking legal enforcement actions pursuant to the Colorado Hazardous Waste Act and the Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities Act.
Ms. Talbert received her juris doctorate from Vermont Law School and her Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Lehigh University. She began her career in private practice where she focused on environmental, land conservation, real estate and other civil practice areas. After ten years in the private sector she made her way to the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and then on to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Ms. Talbert’s passion for environmental and natural resources stems from her love of the outdoors where she participates in a variety of activities: snowboarding, cross country skiing, hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking and travelling.
