GERARD BURKE

With 35 years of experience working for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Gerard Burke is currently working as a Bureau Director covering the implementation of the New York State Hazardous Waste Remediation and Brownfield Cleanup Program in New York City and the Albany Capital Region. There are currently more than 300 active cleanup sites in DEC’s program in New York City.

Gerard received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University at Buffalo and has worked in all phases of remediation for DEC from site characterization through remedial construction.
